This is one of our favorite summer veggies to cook because you can find shoe string green beans so much easier and cheaper (they’re the little skinny guys) this time of year!  Sweet and crunchy…a good one for the whole fam!

Sauteed Green Beans

  • shoe string green beans
  • water
  • olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • salt to taste

Preparation & Directions

Trim all green beans on the end that was connected too the vine.  In a large sauce pan, add the green beans and just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan.  Cook on medium-high heat for 2-3 minute (they will still be crisp, but bright green).  Drain green beans.  Place back on medium-low heat, drizzle with olive oil (about 1 tsp or so), add garlic and sprinkle with salt, tossing frequently.  Saute for about a minute. Enjoy!
